Senior Health Foundation is a privately funded nonprofit organization, which means that the funding to provide senior computer education classes comes from the revenue we generate from those classes and materials, and from our parent organization, Midwest Geriatrics. The truth is, our class revenue only covers part of our budget, and it’s only through the benevolence of Midwest Geriatrics that we can continue to do what we do.
But you can help!!!.
If you are someone who thinks our programs are worthwhile, and would like to help us continue providing senior computer educational services, there are four areas where we can use your help:
BECOME A DONOR - As a registered nonprofit organization, any monetary donations made to the Senior Health Foundation are tax deductible, depending of course, on your own personal tax situation. We depend upon private donations to help our cause, and any donation amount that fits your budget is welcome.
PROVIDE US WITH LEADS - Senior Health Foundation is constantly looking for grant and corporate funding opportunities. If you know of a company or organization that donates to programs like ours, we would certainly appreciate that information.
VOLUNTEER - Without volunteers, our educational programs could not exist. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that we are always looking for new volunteers to help. We need volunteers to assist with computer classes, help us with mailings and class material duplication, and work at our bi-weekly Movie Day. If you think you might enjoy volunteering your time, please let us know!
TELL OTHERS ABOUT US - We have a very small marketing budget, which means that our best marketing tool is YOU! Since our beginnings in 1994, word of mouth has been the main way prospective students have discovered our program. If you enjoy our classes and have family or friends who might also find them useful, we would love to have you pass along our name. We can even provide you with flyers and business cards!
